If You Don’t Know Me By Now (Catch The Wind)
I was walking down the street one day in my hometown, it was the first time in a long time that I looked around, and tried to catch the wind. I saw her standing there with her shiny shoes, and from what I could tell it was somewhere towards the middle of June. I could be wrong but I think it was toward the middle of June (please say you will).
And then suddenly the sky began to shout, and she seemed to know exactly what it was talking about. I have no idea what the hell they were talking about (catch the wind, catch the wind, catch the wind)…
Then she said if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will. She said if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will.
She took me by the hand and we ran away. I lost all track of time, don’t remember if it was night or day. She told me to close my eyes and not look down. When I finally opened them I was flying so high above the ground (catch the wind, catch the wind, catch the wind)…
Then she said if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will. She said if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will.
And then suddenly I was all alone. I tried to call for her, but she had already gone. I started to walk on home and thought, “what a weird way for this crazy day to end.” Just then I realized I had caught the wind (I caught the wind, I caught the wind)…
Now I say if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will. (Remember my name, remember my name when I say) if you don’t know me by now, you never will. If you don’t know me by now, you never will, you never will you never will catch the wind.
